2Moorch Money Promotion Terms and Conditions

 

  1. Background

The Telecel promo (hereinafter referred to as the “Offer” or “2Moorch Money”) is a Product of Ghana Telecommunications Company Limited (trading as Telecel Ghana and hereinafter referred to as “Telecel”). A Telecel Ghana subscriber’s continued participation constitutes the member’s acceptance of any changes to these Terms and Conditions. Participants are responsible for remaining knowledgeable as to any changes that Telecel may make to these Terms and Conditions. Telecel will endeavour to make available the Terms and Conditions and any changes thereto on the Telecel website.

  1. Duration

This Promotion shall run for 120 days starting on the 9th day of June 2025.

 

  1. Terms of Use
    • The following categories of customers are qualified to participate in the promo.
      1. Consumer mobile prepaid Customers
      2. Consumer mobile hybrid Customers
      3. Enterprise mobile prepaid Customers
      4. Enterprise mobile hybrid Customer
  • A Customer shall be an individual or entity in whose name the Telecel SIM card is registered.
    • To qualify the customer shall be required to opt in via the following channels.
      1. USSD via *500#
      2. SMS the keyword WIN to 500
      3. Telecel Play App.
    • Recharge or bundle purchases of GHs 5 and above via the following channels will earn Customers entries into the Promo.
      1. Recharge via Voucher
      2. Recharge via Telecel Cash
      3. Recharge via 3rd Party
      4. Recharge via EVD (Credit Transfer)
      5. Bundle purchase via Telecel Cash
      6. Bundle purchase via 3rd Party
    • Recipients of Airtime or bundle subscription valued at GHs 5 and above on the Telecel network will be rewarded with entries when they receive airtime or bundle from another Telecel customer.
    • Peer-to-Peer (P2P) airtime recharge will not earn customers any entry into the Promo.
    • Customers across the country will stand a chance to win prizes.
    • A customer who wins from a particular type of draw will not be eligible to win from the same type of draw throughout the duration of the promo. For instance, a customer who emerges from a daily draw cannot win another daily prize; and, also, a customer who emerges from a weekly draw cannot win another weekly prize.
    • While the Daily and weekly cash prizes will be paid into the Customer’s Telecel Cash account, a percentage of the Grand prize will be paid into the Winner’s Telecel cash wallet and the rest paid into the Winner’s bank account.
    • A customer who wins a daily prize and is yet to activate their Telecel cash account will have up to 30 days to do so, or else they lose their cash prize.
    • Weekly and Grand Prize winners (who have been duly notified by Telecel of their win) without a Telecel Cash account will be asked to activate their Telecel Cash wallet as part of the conditions for prize money presentation. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of their cash prize.
    • Additionally, Winners from the weekly and grand draws may be contacted by SMS and a phone call from an authorized Telecel representative. Phone calls to customers will be made from 0203000004 while SMS shall be sent using the sender identity 2MOORCH MONEY.
    • Telecel will not contact a daily cash prize winner via phone call. Money earned from a daily draw shall be deposited directly into the customer’s Telecel Cash wallet.
    • Weekly and Grand Draw winners will be contacted within 48-hours to/ redeem their prizes. If the winner cannot be contacted, or has not made contact within 48 hours, the prize money may be allocated to substitute winners.
    • Substitute winners will also be contacted within 48 hours to redeem prizes or to forfeit.
    • Cash reversal (Telecel clawing back airtime or bundle purchased via Telecel Cash and refunding equivalent money into customer’s cash account) will not be allowed for customers who opted into the promo even after opting out during the promo period; cash reversal will only be allowed for airtime or bundle purchased after the promo has ended.
    • Telecel Staff and their close relatives, vendors, distributors, partners, and any person or party affiliated with Telecel will not be eligible to participate or win in the Promo.
    • Customers who emerge as winners from the weekly and grand prize draws will be required to upgrade their Telecel cash account tier to receive the cash prize in their Telecel cash wallet.
    • For Enterprise and consumer hybrid customers, only eligible out-of-bundle recharges and bundle subscriptions via Telecel cash will earn entries for the customer.
    • If an Enterprise customer emerges as a winner from any of the draws, the individual using the number will be rewarded with the prize.
    • Winners from this promotion may be contacted by Telecel to share testimonials that may be used for marketing purposes. By participating in the promotion, the Customer consents to their testimonials being used by Telecel for marketing purposes.
    • Telecel reserves the right to revoke the rewards of winners who are disinterested and uncooperative with the Telecel team.
    • Telecel reserves the right to disqualify any customer that has either been found to be a minor, or a customer who is suspected to have participated or won through fraudulent means.

 

  1. Limitation of liability
    • Telecel accepts no responsibility whatsoever for, including without limitation, any error, omission, interruption, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications, line failure when it is not under its direct control.
    • Telecel reserves the right to suspend the Promotion temporarily for operational reasons (e.g., for repairs, planned maintenance or upgrades) whenever it is deemed necessary. Telecel promises to restore the Promotion as soon as possible after any temporary suspension period.
    • If Telecel improperly denies a participant any benefits that the participant ought to have earned under the Promotion, the participant’s exclusive remedy shall be the issuance of the improperly denied benefits by Telecel, if available, or such other reasonable alternative and comparable benefits as determined by Telecel. In the event of any of the aforementioned improper denials, the liability of Telecel shall be limited to the value of the benefits concerned.

 

 

  1. Disclaimer of Warranties
    • Telecel makes no warranty, implied or express, that any part of the Promotion will be uninterrupted and error-free.
    • Neither Telecel nor any of its directors, employees, agents, or suppliers shall accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury, or disappointment suffered by any customer for participating in the Promotion.
    • By entering the Promotion, customers agree that no claim relating to such losses or injuries (including special, indirect, and consequential losses) shall be asserted or made against Telecel, its parent companies, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, or agents from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind resulting from acceptance or use of any prize, including without limitation, personal injuries, death and property damage.

 

  1. Data Protection and Publicity
    • Telecel as a Data Controller may disclose Customers’ data to its contractors, agents, regulators, group companies, affiliates, or other third parties (data processors) in line with the Data Protection Act, 2010 (Act 843) to assist in conducting this Promotion or any future promotions.

 

  1. Miscellaneous
    • Telecel reserves the right to terminate, suspend, cancel, or amend the Promotion and these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes shall be binding on the customer.
    • Telecel reserves the right to reverse any cashbacks on suspicion of misuse or fraud by a customer.
    • Participants are liable for any claims from third parties, including the tax authorities, arising from participation in this Promotion.
    • In the event of dispute regarding the interpretation of the Terms and Conditions, conduct, results, and all other matters relating to the promotion the decision of Telecel shall be final and without appeal.
    • These Terms and Conditions will remain in full force and effect while the Promotion lasts (not taking into account temporary suspensions of the Promotion for operational reasons, e.g., for repairs, planned maintenance or upgrades).
    • These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
