What is Bid 2 Win?

Bid2Win provides a highly effective and efficient way for Telecel customers to participate in an auction to purchase smart phone and accessories. With Bid2Win, participants can bid from anywhere via SMS, at any time, without needing access to a computer or mobile data.

What are the benefits of the Bid2Win service?

Bid2win allows you to:

How does Bid 2Win work?

Participants receive notifications via SMS informing them of the item which has been placed on auction. Customers then bid for the item and are guided throughout the bidding process. Participants who win in an auction are notified of their winnings right after the auction ends.

How do I register/subscribe to Bid2Win?

You can register/subscribe to the service by sending keyword “1” to short code 1020 or by dialing *1020#. You will be notified via SMS once the subscription is successful.

You can also subscribe via Telecel Cash by dialing *110# and choosing options 4, 3, 4 and then 1 to Subscribe.

How much does it cost to subscribe to the Bid2win service?

Subscription fees are as below:

• Daily – Ghs 0.9
• Weekly – Ghs 5
• Monthly – Ghs 15

How do I bid for an item on the Bid2win service?

To bid on an item using Bid2Win, simply text your bid amount in numbers (eg. 1234) to 1020. You will receive an SMS notification to confirm if your bid was successful or guided on the right way to bid if you place a wrong bid.

What kind of items can I bid for using Bid2 Win?

You can bid on a wide variety of items using Bid2Win, including smart phones, electronics, gadgets etc.

 

Do I get charged for sending SMS to the short code when bidding?

No, you can send as many bids as you want since there is no charge for the SMS’ sent to short code 1020.

 

How do I unsubscribe to the Bid2 Win service?

By simply sending keyword “End” to the short code 1020 or dial *463# and follow prompt to deactivate

the service.

How will I know if I have won an item in the Bid2win auction?

The highest bidder at the end of each auction is considered the winner of the item. The winner will be notified via SMS and asked to accept or decline the prize.

 

How do I pay for an item that I’ve won?

You can pay for any item won in the auction using Telecel Cash by sending “Pay” to short code 1020 and  following the prompts or dial *110#, choose option 4(Make Payments),3(Fun and Games),4(Bid2Win),2(Pay for Item) and follow the prompts.

 

How do I collect an item that I won on Bid2Win?

You can pick up won items from either the Accra Mall retail shop or get them delivered to the nearest retail shop for customers outside Accra.
